I remember going to a conference in London and having an array of responses from literally being asked 'why are you here little girl' (i was 33) to 'am I at the wrong conference and do I need help'. For years I also ran teams who would go into companies to improve their security and compliance . We'd go through all the spiel and I'd normally get ignored...then it came to the 'who's in charge bit' and invariably my all male team would look at me and grin...whilst the clients looked really awkward having spent 3 hours ignoring me...
